Review your face-washing habits before starting GLP-1 treatment.

Plan the washing times

AAD advises morning and evening washing, plus washing promptly after heavy sweating. [1]

Put those occasions beside your existing schedule. If you exercise away from home, decide where you will wash afterward and which supplies you will bring.

Finish without pulling at the skin

For dry or itchy skin, AAD recommends moisturizer. Apply creams gently around the eyes without pulling hard. Ask a board-certified dermatologist about skin-care concerns. [1]

This US patient guidance does not establish that cleansing prevents GLP-1-related facial-volume changes. See our guide to facial changes and firming-cream limits.
