If back breakouts accompany your exercise routine during GLP-1 treatment, review what happens around each workout.

From workout to shower

AAD recommends a freshly washed towel for gently patting sweat away. Clean shared exercise equipment before using it. Afterward, shower with a mild, oil-free cleanser and warm water; avoid rubbing. [2]

What touches your back

AAD advises loose cotton or sweat-wicking workout clothes, washed after each use. Change out of sweaty clothing promptly. Backpacks can aggravate acne through rubbing. Skip abrasive scrubs, loofahs and back brushes; cleanse gently. [1]

When skin care needs support

Deep, painful back acne needs a dermatologist. If treatment produces no improvement after six to eight weeks, seek dermatology help. Skin care accompanies acne treatment. [1]

These US AAD pages do not establish GLP-1 causation or guarantee clearing. For painful lesions, read our deep-pimple assessment guide.
